Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Buchanan Christian Union Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
We believe in the one true God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified on a cross as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. He rose from the dead on the third day and is seated at the right hand of the Father and will someday return in power and glory.
We believe that salvation is the gift of God through Jesus Christ for all those who believe and repent of their sin.
We believe the Church consists of all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. We believe the local church is a body of fellowship, and participating in the Lord's Supper.
We believe in a bodily resurrection of the just to everlasting life and unjust for a resurrection unto judgement.
